A Sneak Peak of the NRRA 2024 National Conference
The AI Revolution in Insurance and RRGs
2024 finds us once again in the beautiful and convenient surroundings of the Chicago Sofitel hotel, a venue that has for ten years helped foster a wide range of networking and educational opportunities for our attendees. We believe you will find this year’s theme opportunities to be as rewarding as those in the past.
This year’s Conference, creatively designed by our Conference Committee, and diligently anchored by my conference co-chair, Colin Donovan of STICO Mutual RRG, focuses in part on the AI Revolution in Insurance and RRGs, of course, blended in with our traditionally popular RRG educational sessions and round tables.
We wanted to respectfully open the event with some inspiring Veterans Day anecdotes from an active Air Force pilot, a recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross. That afternoon starts with a descending altitude readiness view of the basics of AI itself. We then lower our approach to see how RRGs utilize AI now and in the future; an update on cyber risk management; then our regulators’ perspective on AI, concluding the day with our first reception after hearing from foreign and domestic reinsurance.
Tuesday’s presentations include a ground level blend of the use of AI in underwriting and claims; a lively discussion of possible strategies for group buying of liability and other complimentary products for RRGs and our ever popular regulators panel.
Following our luncheon keynote speaker, a well traveled lecturer and published author on AI, the afternoon continues with AI in the legal environment, followed by our ever-popular round table discussions; capped-off by directors training affecting D&O insurance liability.
Wednesday continues with an update on economy and investments, AI with people or AI versus people (i.e., the HR implications); and learn what’s happening in Florida, California, Texas, New York and other challenging hot spots.
Round table topics this year include: our Captive Managers Caucus, NAIC regulators update, London Reinsurance, Domestic Reinsurance, Trucking, Healthcare/Long Term care, and complimentary lines and value-added services to RRG offerings.
While I look forward to seeing you there with us, obviously you have to register to attend and network with our great industry leaders and learn for yourself why, as one observer said before,
“If you are only able to attend one conference a year, It should be the NRRA conference!”
